Let the demolition begin!

Here we've started taking things down. No going back now!..

Taking down walls

Time to start taking down the stud walls upstairs and the ceiling in the hallway. These are composed of lath and plaster which are full of cracks and feel so weak. You'll notice there is no insulation in the cavity which will need to be addressed a little later.

Insulation and plasterboard

Just beginning to install the cavity wall insulation and plasterboard upstairs.
We still need to take down the lath and plaster ceiling downstairs then fit plasterboard there too.
We'll also be removing the chimneys from the ground floor all the way up.. and knock out a through-lounge too.. so much work to do!
